DCH Trust established Dhaka Community Medical College (DCMC) in 2008 which offers 5 years MBBS course approved by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of Bangladesh. Affiliated by University of Dhaka, recognized by Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BMDC). In addition dental unit for the course of BDS was started in the year 2020-2021 & is going on.

Goals & Objectives of DCMC

Dhaka Community Medical College is aimed to produce need based skilled Community oriented doctors. About Campus

There are two buildings on the campus of the college; the training, teaching and clinical academic activities are being performed one building of total 12 floors. Each department is provided with the computers with internet access for research and development works and training activities.

The other building of 14 floors in the medical college hospital with more than 500 beds. The hospital is being utilized for both teaching and training of students and treatments of the patients in the community. College also has made several contacts and co-operation with many hospitals and clinics in the rural and urban areas of Bangladesh.

Library

The Dhaka Community Medical College also has a library in the hospital building with a huge collection of textbooks, journals, researches for students and teachers access. Several computers have been installed with internet facility for students to search various medical websites and databases and keep themselves updated about the current researches.

Class Environment

The DCMC provides a healthy environment for students to study and stay on the campus. Students are provided with the hostel accommodation very near to the campus of the college. Students may also opt for rental accommodation if desired. There is a canteen which provides healthy and hygienic food to the students on the campus. Students and teachers are both allowed to have food in the canteen at highly subsidized cost.

Eligibility Criteria: For MBBS Course at Dhaka Community Medical College

To study MBBS at Dhaka Community Medical College, below given is the eligibility criteria:

  • The candidate must be 17 years old on or before 31st December of the year in which the admission is being taken.
  • The Nationality of the students must be ‘Indian’.
  • The applicants must have cleared the NEET exam.
  • All the candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as elective subjects and acquired at least half in a total of PCB joined. Also, students must have studied and passed English as an obligatory subject.
  • The candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% of marks in subjects like Physics, Biology, Chemistry combined.
